To celebrate the 10th Annual International SWAN (Support Women Artists Now) Day on Saturday, March 25, 2017, the FF2 Media team is highlighting their favorite female artists.The holiday, also observed throughout the months of March and April, highlights the creative feats of female artists and their audiences.
Intern Rachel Kastner:
I will celebrate SWAN day by hosting a Shabbat meal with some of my Barnard theater friends, watching Hidden Figures and reading “Harry Potter” (JK Rowling is my favorite!)
Senior Contributor Stephanie Taylor:
I will celebrate SWAN Day by blasting Mariah Carey and watching Oprah. These two women started from very humble beginnings and are now creative powerhouses.
Intern Katusha Jin:
I will celebrate SWAN Day by working on a film set surrounded by a team of incredibly talented and hardworking female filmmakers. We will jam to Beyoncé during the car journey and our breaks. At home I will watch some Tina Fey and Ellen DeGeneres with friends so we can celebrate with laughter!
